Main duties of the job

We are a supportive and encouraging department and you will be part of a solid team of paediatric nurses with different levels of experience. This will provide you with the support and camaraderie to make each day a good one. We have a number of band 7 senior sisters/ charge nurses working directly within the department as well as a dedicated practice development team which work wholly on enabling you to develop your skills and experiences and facilitate further learning and training.

We receive a wide variety of emergency patients, including trauma and medical/surgical admissions and it is exciting to say that our Children's Emergency Department provides an independent Paediatric Emergency Nurse Practitioner led service that runs 7 days a week.
