Job summary
Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust are seeking a dedicated and reliable Domestic Service Assistant to join our team at our Basildon Hospital site.
You will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and maintainance tasks to help develop and maintain the patient environment of the trust.
Main duties of the job
Your day to day duties will include:
- General cleaning duties within designated areas, including cleaning of toilets and bathrooms on a daily basis.
- Vacuuming, damp dusting, cleaning of surfaces and mopping of floors to the standard stated in the cleaning specification for the area. Deep cleaning of any infected area's.
- The cleaning of beds and the remaking with clean linen.
- Collect clinical and non-clinical waste and take it to the designated collection point.
