Job summary
An exciting and wonderful opportunity has arisen for joint appointment with MSEFT and the University of Essex. The Associate Professor (Senior Lecturer) will provide clinical leadership to the Centre for Interdisciplinary Cancer Studies, to enhance cancer research activity in MSEFT across data sciences, biology, genomics, health sciences and population heath (3 PA). You will also work clinically as a Consultant Oncologist specialising in Lung and Melanoma in the MSEFT Oncology Department (7PA).
The Centre for Interdisciplinary Cancer Studies is a collaborative centre for cancer studies between the University of Essex and MSEFT. The centre sets out to use data to answer real world questions to improve patient outcomes and experience.

Main duties of the job
We are looking for a Consultant Oncologist with an interest in, and knowledge of cancer data and its potential use in service improvement. A track record of working well in a multi-disciplinary team and forming good relationships with senior clinicians is key.

- Entry on GMC Specialist Register; eligible for entry on Register or within six months of receipt of Certificate of Completion of training (CCT) at time of interview
- Evidence of completion of specialist training or equivalent

- MRCP/FRCR or equivalent
- Inclusion on GMC Specialist Register for oncology or within 6 months of attainment at the time of interview
