The post holder will actively participate in the delivery of Pharmacy services across a range of specialties
The right applicants will be dedicated, hard working individuals that work well in a team environment as well as under own initiative. Attention to detail and organisational skills are essential.
Main duties of the job
- To support the oncology homecare service, this will include liasing with consulants and the chemo unit to supply medication to patients
- Work together with serval homecare providers
- Answer any telephone queries and patient concerns.
- Booking appointmentsagainst clinic schedules
- Paying finance and dealing with nay queries
- As well as maintaining the day to day running of the service.
- To support other services within the pharmacy department including the Dispensary.
Previous pharmacy experience would be of benefit, however we welcome applications from those with no previous experienceas full training will be given.

Team work is at the heart ofeverything we do within pharmacy. We are a multicultural department with a very friendly atmosphere. We look after each other as well as the patients within our care.
The Southend hospital site pharmacy has recently undergone a major upgrade. We have a state of the art Omnicell automated dispensing robot and a brand new 'built for purpose' Dispensary.
