Job summary
We have a wonderful opportunity to join our friendly, inclusive team here in neurology as our Patient Pathway Coordinator.
Your role will be to provide administrative support to all clinical staff within the clinical area including Consultants, Nurse Specialists and Junior Doctors ensuring effective co-ordination of their diaries etc. this will include cancellation and reinstating of clinics in line with planned and unplanned leave
You will support the Clinical Team, Operational Manager, Senior Patient Pathway Coordinator and other Divisional Managers in ensuring the Specialty, and the General Medicine Division are able to deliver safe and effective services whilst also ensuring compliance with contractual access targets e.g., the 18-week Referral to Treatment & Two Week Wait cancer targets.
Main duties of the job
Whilst working within the Neurology Department, you will facilitate the smooth running of the patient journey by ensuring that coordinated and streamlined administrative processes revolve around the patient and their individual needs.
You will provide cross-cover for other Patient Pathway Co-Ordinator's to ensure a consistent and effective administration service is maintained at all times, supervising Patient Pathway Administrators and Assistants within the relevant specialties including attendance management, appraisals and general monitoring of performance and compliance with Trust, Divisional and Specialty standards.
