Based in the busy town of Chelmsford, Broomfield University Hospital is part of the Mid and South Essex Foundation Trust and the pharmacy department has around 300 staff working across the 3 sites

Although only recently merged, the pharmacy departments across the three sites have been working together under one chief pharmacist for a number of years. During this time we have developed standardised systems and re-designed new and on-going services supporting the wider organisation's clinical configuration changes.

We are looking to recruit a dynamic and forward-thinking technician to take on an exciting pharmacy IT role primarily based at our Broomfield site. You must be an excellent communicator with outstanding IT skills who works well independently as well as within a team.

Main duties of the job

You will work as part of a wider Pharmacy IT team supporting and developing pharmacy and Trustwide IT systems. They will be responsible for their own portfolio of MSE pharmacy systems as well as being part of the senior IT team across the MSE. They will also support the clinical pharmacy teams on investigating and tracking medicine saving schemes, as well as producing a variety of reports both internal and external to the organisation.
