Job summary
We are looking for a Specialty Doctor in Cardiology to join our friendly team on a full time fixed term basis to support the junior doctors and Consultants.
You will be based at our Basildon site within Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation trust.

Main duties of the job
- Provide ward / clinical support to junior doctors and consultants.
- To take part in the Cardiology weekend on call rota 1:4 basis
- To participate and conduct 3-4 outpatient clinics each week
- 3 to 4 training/ service sessions of cardiac procedures per week
- Comprehensive training will be provided in basic & advanced Echocardiography and invasive coronary Angiography.
- Promote a friendly team based working environment in line with Trust Values.
- Provide clinical service in line with the Trusts clinical governance arrangements which is designed to ensure that agreed quality standards. are achieved.
- Participate in audit of clinical practice within the department

Qualifications
Essential
- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
- Successful Completion of MRCP or equivalent
- Hold Full registration and licence to practice with GMC at the time of application
Desirable
- Diploma/Degree in Cardiology Higher degrees including MSc,PHD or MD
Professional Experience

- Experience working in Cardiology
Desirable
- Experience within diagnostiscs - Echo or Lab
