Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and dedicated multi-skilled Urology Administrative Assistant to join our Urology Team based at Broomfield Hospital.
You will provide robust admin support to the Urology Team. This will require you to be flexible and adaptable to meet the changing needs of the service.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working in a fast paced office environment, together with excellent organizational skills, a confident telephone manner, good IT skills, and understanding of Service change/development. Previous experience of working in the NHS or within healthcare is desirable.
Main duties of the job
To assist the admin co-ordinator to maintain the effective running of the out-patient clinics, ensuring that documentation and information is effectively managed, handled and exchanged with care, accuracy and sensitivity according to departmental procedures.
To manage the appointment and booking systems in the absence of the co-ordinator.
Inputting concise and accurate entry of data onto Lorenzo.
To ensure that out-patient bookings are booked appropriately in keeping with national RTT guidelines.
To inform patients of any cancellations/changes in an appropriate sympathetic manner.
To maintain patients out-patient attendance via the Lorenzo Access plan.
To carry out any other tasks requested by the Urology Service Coordinator or Urology Service Support Manager to support the service.
