We are looking for enthusiastic Band 5 Radiographers to join our existing skilled, friendly radiographic team here at Mid and South Essex University Hospitals Group. You will be based at Southend (SS0 0RY) or Broomfield University Hospital (CM1 7ET).
The role requires rotation through different areas of the department including A&E, Theatres, Mobile and General x-ray. You will also be required to rotate through our outlying Community Hospitals from time to time.
Main duties of the job
As a Band 5 radiographer, you will work independently, as part of a team. In time following the completion of competences and development and consolidation of your training, you will be offered the opportunity to submit evidence enabling progression to a Band 6 role.
In this senior role you will also be expected to take a supervisory role leading a small group. Band 6 radiographers act as mentors for this process and are also required to supervise and assess undergraduate students.
