Job summary
Cardiac Rehab Admin assistant/data entry clerk.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time (27 hours/week plus the potential for additional ad hoc bank hours) to join the Cardiac Rehab team at Southend Hospital. The Administrator will be required to manage all aspects of the administrative and clerical work to ensure the smooth running of the Cardiac Rehab service.
Main duties of the job
- The post holder must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, including telephone use.
- To plan and monitor clinics to ensure they are maximised to provide an excellent service for out-patients.
- Prepare the necessary paperwork clinic appointments
- Send referrals, as requested, via nhs.net secure e-mail. Monitor and respond to CR e-mail accounts/answerphone/mobile phone
- Sort incoming referrals and file as appropriate. T
- To update patient demographics and patient attendance on Careflow.
- Book departmental meetings.
- To assist the CR team in all aspects of service progression, as requested by CR managers.
- Undertake all stationary/equipment ordering.
- Organise repair/maintenance for equipment in office.
- To assist with the training and supervision of any bank clerical assistants volunteers.
- Enter all information onto the cardiology database, including managing and configuring the CR module to ensure national and financial information available for databases.
- To input the departmental rotas onto Health roster
- Produce and upload all letters to CED including scanning relevant documents. Send the necessary patient and GP letters and discharge summaries from the cardiology database.
- To generate statistical information, including creating and formatting spreadsheets/charts, as and when required, including monthly patient figures for finance.
- To support and participate in the development of electronic patient record
