Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen with the Secretarial Team in the ENT Department at Southend Hospital.
You will play a key role in delivering efficient and pro-active secretarial support to the ENT Consultants and other team members.
Due to the busy nature of the department you must be well organized, pro-active individual with excellent communication skills. You will be required to act independently to ensure that daily tasks and workload is prioritized.
Medical Secretary Band 3 or 4 depending on experience.
Main duties of the job
The role includes all aspects of secretarial support in a very busy department and requires a high level of accuracy, excellent administration skills and ability to prioritize a heavy workload. In addition to general secretarial skills, you will be expected to produce high quality letters from audio dictations and be confident in communicating with colleagues and the public both by telephone and email; as well as assisting with filing and tracking of clinic notes and and responding to queries from patients.
