Job summary

This is an exciting time to join the newly formed Surgical Division across the MSE, as we focus to improve the care provided for our Surgical patients.

We have 3 acute general surgical ward specialising in colorectal procedures, general surgery and urology. We also admit patients for planned procedures and emergency procedures.

We are looking for dynamic, flexible staff with leadership ability who will help the Deputy Director of Nursing for Surgery provide a welcoming, caring atmosphere in our busy wards.

It is not a traditional Matron role, as there will be ample opportunity to become and lead change management projects across the MSE.

You will be a visible, accessible, and authoritative leader in clinical areas to which patients, their families and others can turn for leadership, assistance, advice, and support.
