Junior Service Manager - Urology

Job summary

We are looking for a Junior Service Manager to join our friendly surgery team on a full time fixed term (12 month) basis.

You will support the Operational Manager with cancer/RTT performance, chase any letters, diagnostics and patient outcomes. You will be required to track and update the RTT PTL. You will be responsible for line management of the admin team (appointments booking and secretaries) as well as managing clinics (cancellations and setting up ad-hoc clinics). You will be first point of contact for PALS concerns and carry out any other ad-hoc duties.

Main duties of the job

Responsible for co-ordinating, developing, managing and delivering a high quality, responsive and effective service. Support in delivering Local and National Service Standards in a challenging and demanding environment.

Working with clinical teams to co-ordinate the utilisation of Trust outpatient resources efficiently to optimise patient care within budget.

To lead, co-ordinate and support the divisional access team in navigation of the patient pathway.

Resolve problems and report progress to the Assistant Service Manager
