Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Dental Nurse with Orthodontic experience to work in the Orthodontic Department at Southend Hospital, working in a dedicated unit delivering patient care. You will work as part of a team of nurses, clinicians, technicians and supporting staff in a Dental/Orthodontic clinical setting.
You will assist with all clinical Orthodontic procedures/ pre and post operative information and instructions for patient care and treatment.
You will assist and support Orthodontic practioners with Orthodontic chairside procedures/ treatments, providing pre and post operative advice to patients and their carers.
You will prepare instruments / materials/equipment related to Orthodontic treatment.
Main duties of the job
Practice good leadership skills by ensuring colleagues and patients are communicated with in an effective, equitable, and clear manner.
Meet and greet patients and their family/carers in a courteous and professional manner.
Maintain excellent communication with patients, relatives and members of the multidisciplinary team (MDT) regarding all aspects of care, demonstrating a range of communication skills appropriate to the needs of the patient and the clinical setting.
Ensure communication is used effectively in the interests of patient care, observing appropriate confidentiality with regard to patient or sensitive information.
