Here is an exciting opportunity to join on a Fixed Term as a Senior Radiographer/Mammographer in the Broomfield Breast Unit.
This is an ideal opportunity for a Radiographer experienced in mammographer or a to join this dynamic team or for an experienced radiographer.
The role will operate the symptomatic services at the Broomfield Breast Unit, which has just completed the refurbishment of its two Mammography rooms, with a third later this summer.

Main duties of the job
To provide the full mammographic service for the symptomatic service.
To provide information to the clients attending screening.
To recognise when there is a need to call for professional help (breakdowns etc.).
To be the Supervising Radiographer for Assistant Practitioner staff members.

The Unit undertakes Symptomatic clinics, and continues to support staff development and training opportunities. Screening services are managed via collaboration with North Essex Screening Program.

To attend the departmental staff and audit meetings.
To be able to rapidly assess patient personality type and respond accordingly to elicit relevant clinical history within time allowed, while also explaining the procedure, gaining consent, informing and advising the patient.
To provide information for clients attending the service in both verbal and leaflet form.
To provide information and support to other groups attending the Breast Unit for training i.e. (student midwives, nurses and medical students on rotation).
