Reporting to the Digital Services Project Manager, the Testing Manager will be responsible for ensuring product and quality control is up to standard and will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Testing team.
As a key part of a dynamic and evolving service, the Test Team Manager will lead and coordinate the testing of IT applications and integration testing on the agreed clinical and corporate applications.
You will have the daily operational responsibility; managing the testing staff and producing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and relevant reporting to improve and embed the system quality.
As a key part of a dynamic and evolving service, the Test Team Manager will have a strong client focus, manage complex and sensitive information, liaise and communicate with clinical and non-clinical staff as necessary to ensure quality standards are met for any changes deployed.
Be the advocate for QA best practices and lead initiatives such as automation.
Main duties of the job
Lead testing for project implementations including EPR and lead and mentor test resources.
Contribute to the creation and on-going development of an automated testing framework. Be an advocate for QA best practices across project delivery, establishing and embedding a programme level testing strategy applicable to all changes within Digital Services
Any other duties as reasonably required by the Head of Digital Systems & Adoption.
Provide ad-hoc project related work. Have attention to detail and deal with changing priorities. Be responsible for project implementation testing including EPR.
Responsible for the supervision, training and management of team members including appraisals and recruitment. The incumbent allocates work to more junior staff and provides training for staff from own or other disciplines on own subject area and to ensure that the testing team understand and are fully compliant with Trust Information Governance policy.
