Then we would like to invite you to apply to join us as our new Associate Director of Nursing (ADoN) for Emergency Care and Acute Medicine at Southend Hospital.

If successful, you'll be at the heart of our Emergency and Acute services and will be a driving force for transformation across the department for both our staff and our patients.

You'll be joining us at an exciting time for our Southend site as we have recently secured significant funding to invest in both our staffing and to refurbish our department - and as ADoN you will have a real say in the way this funding is used and be able to drive forward positive change.

Main duties of the job

If successfuly, you will be responsible and accountable for the development and delivery of patient services within the Local Services/ Emergency Care Sub-division. This encompasses the Emergency Dept, the Urgent Treatment Centre, Assessment areas and SDEC services.

You will have specific responsibility for leading the development of nursing and nursing services within the Division ensuring that the highest standard of patient care is delivered supported by a robust clinical governance framework.

In partnership with the Clinical Director and the Deputy Director of Operations, you will be responsible for operational and strategic leadership and will lead improvements in care, service delivery and the achievement of organisational priorities for the Division.
