Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a therapist to join the Therapies leadership team at Mid and South Essex Foundation Trust (MSEFT).
The Head of Therapies is responsible for the operational management and strategic leadership of Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, and Dietetic services at Broomfield Hospital, working with the rest of the leadership team to ensure a high quality, efficient therapy service is delivered across Mid and South Essex.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to lead the teams supporting the delivery of the MSEFT therapy vision. They will have experience of leading change, service improvement and transformation and will champion the role and benefit of therapy professionals.
The post holder will need to have excellent communication skills, and the ability to build relationships, negotiate and influence internal colleagues and external stakeholders.
Main duties of the job
The main duties of the job are:
- To be an active member of the Divisional senior team, contributing to the strategic direction and decision making on operational matters.
- To analyse a variety of information, sometimes conflicting, to make decisions on the service, staff or other areas. Moreover retain insight of the key interrelationship between different stakeholders within an interest in Therapy Services.
- To take a leadership role with influencing Clinical Directors, General Managers and Heads of Nursing across the Trust who are stakeholders to enable them to develop plans and deliver improvements in services that match the aspirations of the Trust strategy and vision for therapy services.
