An exciting opportunity has arisen for a pharmacist to join our pharmacy team at Basildon Hospital.
We are looking for an enthusiastic pharmacist with excellent clinical and managerial skills to work as a senior pharmacist in Women & Children and Endocrine specialities.
This is an excellent opportunity to further develop clinical and leadership skills. With the alignment in pharmacy structure to the trust operating model, this is an exciting time to join us, where you will be working closely with the clinical leads and specialist peers within MSE.
Band 7 to 8a progression applications will be considered, where we will provide the necessary training to support you to progress to band 8a

Main duties of the job
- Working closely with the multidisciplinary teamand taking a proactive and leading role in implementing evidence based practice.
- Training of the pharmacy and multidisciplinary teams including Trainee, Foundation and Specialist pharmacists.
- Management of medicine shortages, ensuring that risk assessments are undertaken where needed.
- Attendance in governance and clinical meetings.
- Develop and implement new protocols and procedures, and assist in development of pharmaceutical aspects of policies.
- Proactive in taking part in research opportunities.
- Develop your existing role as an independent prescriber, or working towards this goal.
