Job summary

Interventional Radiology (IR) or Image Guided Surgery is an exciting and expanding speciality. The IR Service at Broomfield is looking to expand its nursing team to cope with the increased demand.

We currently have vacancy for Interventional Radiology Nurses. You will be required to work within the expanding MSE Interventional Radiology team. They will primarily work as a skilled member of the team at the Broomfield site to assist in the high provision of care to patients undergoing a variety of interventional cases. You will develop and maintain good scrub skills for all IR procedures, be able to practice as a scrub nurse, circulating nurse, patient nurse and recovery nurse. Will develop time management and co-ordinating skills to ensure the smooth running of the IR Service.

Main duties of the job

Undertaking all aspects of the IR Nurse role including, scrubbing for all procedures, circulating using your knowledge of IR equipment, managing patients both during procedures and post procedure in recovery. Ensuring good stock control methods are employed, restocking of procedure rooms, ensuring excellent infection control and cleanliness of the department, improving patient experience and patient safety and working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team and other stakeholders to offer an excellent service to our patients.
