Gain a B.Sc. Healthcare Science Degree Whilst Qualifying as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Nuclear Medicine Technologists work in multidisciplinary teams to diagnose and treat disease using radionuclides and radiation in its various forms. These apprenticeships are ideal for people who enjoy basic physics and have a desire to work with patients. During the apprenticeship you will:

complete an integrated 3 year B.Sc. in Healthcare Science (nuclear medicine) at the University of the West of England, Bristol (three, one week residential periods each year, plus online learning);

learn from qualified Technologists to deliver all technical aspects within nuclear medicine
- You must meet the entry requirements for the B.Sc. program: A levels (typically 112 UCAS points with 32/Grade c or above in two science subjects.one must be Biology/Human Biology or Physics) . plus English and Math's qualifications at GCSE grade 4/C or above. You must be available to start the University program IN September 2023

The Nuclear Medicine department at Southend Hospital consists of radiologists, Clinical Scientists Nuclear Medicine Technologists and Clerical staff.
The department operates Monday to Friday 8.45am to 5pm
You will be working with a friendly close team that are committed to delivering high quality service to the people of Southend and surrounding area.
