Job summary
We are currently looking for a bright, hardworking nurse to join our energetic and supportive team in the Diabetic Foot Service and we would love to hear from you.
You will be responsible for providing and maintaining a high standard of patient care, experience, and quality service at all times, prepared to work across the MSE sites according to the needs of the service. Shifts are planned in accordance with provision of service and work towards a seven-day working week.
You will support nurse specialists, podiatrists and consultant colleagues in appropriate out-patient clinics/ward visits, provide routine clinical care, including wound care for patients with diabetic foot disease and ensure clinic rooms are cleaned, stock and prepared for wound management/interventions.
Main duties of the job
As part of the team, you will provide and maintain the highest possible standard of nursing care for the patients, ensuring that a welcoming, caring and safe environment is provided, supporting consultants, surgeons, podiatrists, & diabetes foot care sister in the diabetic foot service whilst ensuring the safety of patients at all times and reporting all accidents or incidents promptly to the Matron/Sister, identify any safety issues.
You will assist with the provision of an environment conducive to the education of all staff, supervising other members of the nursing team as appropriate, and participate in the orientation, induction and ongoing training of new staff ensuring due regard is given to customs, values and spiritual beliefs of all users of the service and maintaining an awareness of professional developments and nursing research and apply this knowledge into practice.
