Job summary

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Consultant colleague to the department of Ophthalmology which sits within the Digestive diseases and Surgery Clinical Service Unit (CSU) based at Bradford Royal Infirmary. The post holder will be expected to have a broad experience of the specialty, particularly Glaucoma.

Main duties of the job

This post covers all aspects of a Consultant's professional practice including clinical work, teaching, education and managerial responsibilities.

Essential

  • Evidence of completing a period of approved training / sub specialist clinical experience in Glaucoma
  • Extensive experience of general ophthalmology including evidence of competence to perform high volume cataract surgery

Qualifications

  • MBChB or equivalent. Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (or equivalent) CCT (proposed CCT date must be within 6 months of interview). On Specialist Register with GMC and continue to hold a licence to practise.
