We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Support Worker/ Equipment Co-ordinator at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to work with the Tissue Viability team.

Pressure ulcers are an important patient safety and quality issue, and the prevention and management of these incidents is a key quality indicator. Pressure-redistributing equipment is an essential component of effective pressure ulcer prevention.

The post holder will be responsible for the internal management and monitoring of pressure-redistributing equipment within the Trust.

Main duties of the job

The main duties include coordinating the supply, transportation, audit, service or repair, decontamination and removal of equipment. They will provide training and ongoing education to staff about the use of pressure-redistributing equipment. They will also work with other teams to help maintain a clean and tidy environment. They will support the tissue viability team with admin duties and assisting with patient care as required.

The successful candidate will be dynamic, hardworking, exhibit high standards in communication and will be expected to support the delivery of high-quality timely care/ service. They will possess the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.

The post holder will be expected to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary clinical and non-clinical teams across the organisation. The post holder will need to be highly organised, able to work without direct supervision, and be an excellent communicator, with the ability to support the team in the day-to-day operation of the services they provide. They will have enthusiasm, motivation and demonstrate pride in their work.
