An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Mortuary Assistant to join the Bradford Royal Infirmary Mortuary service.
The successful candidate will be involved in the day to day workings in the mortuary at Bradford Teaching Hospitals Foundation Trust; this includes assisting with and undertaking efficient and effective body identification, registration and release procedures of the deceased from the mortuary.
Main duties of the job
The job holder will be required to liaise with a wide number of people from both within and outside of the Trust including Nursing and Medical staff, Bereavement Teams, Coroner's Officer's, Funeral Directors and on occasions bereaved relatives.
The post holder will be involved in the safe and effective day to day working within the Mortuary. The post holder will be involved in a range of daily activities, from receipt of the deceased to their release, be involved in the procedures for foetal burials and histology, and maintaining the necessary mortuary data.
