Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is looking for two enthusiastic Finance Professionals to join its dynamic Financial Management team. The successful applicants will have the responsibility for providing guidance and support, accurate financial information, and developing strong financial governance controls within the Financial Management Team, for both clinical and non clinical areas.
Key relationships will need to be formed with senior management, business unit managers and clinicians in order to support the management of resources within the income which their services generate and to work closely with CSUs on budget setting, budgetary management, forecasting and CTG (Closing The Gap) plans as well as leading on Trust-wide developments and business cases.

Main duties of the job
- Provide the key link between the finance function and business units and ensure that the requirements and policies of the finance function are fully reflected into the workings of operational areas.
- Be responsible for the CSU budget setting process including ensuring the operational areas have taken account of demand and capacity as well as taking responsibility for designated areas of budget setting.
- Provide on a timely basis a range of complex reports to the Finance Business Partner, Assistant Director of Finance and Deputy Director of Finance and to the business units on financial performance.
- Work independently and as a senior point of contact for the CSUs, providing a full range of expert financial advice to the management team.
- Be a key and integral part of the CSUs decision making team. Being accountable, along with CSU leaders for financial performance.
- Escalate areas of concern without reference to line manager and to deputise for the Finance Business Partner as required.
- Lead on designated improvement projects as required and to pro-actively and independently instigate and implement improvements in financial control and reporting
- Generate reports in a presentable format by using charts, pivot and summary tables to show monthly activity and income trends. Analyse highly complex financial information in relation to income and expenditure; provide analysis and interpretation of variances; and forecasting future movement.
- Manage a team of Finance support staff.
