This is a fantastic opportunity for theatre practitioners to enhance, expand and develop their existing skills and knowledge in a diverse range of surgical specialties including General Surgery, Vascular Surgery and Interventional Radiology, Trauma and Orthopedics, Urology, Gynae and Obstetrics, Plastic Surgery, Head and Neck and Maxillo-Facial Surgery across 19 operating theatres.

You will be based In the Acute and Vascular Theatres at Bradford Royal Infirmary. We are looking for Theatre Practitioners primarily with anaesthetic skills.

Main duties of the job

Delivering excellent standards of care and providing patient support throughout the peri-operative phase, advocating on behalf of the dependent patient. Undertaking the Anesthetic Practitioner role, ensuring safe environment and practice is maintained. Working with, and supporting other members of the multi-disciplinary team. Preparation and monitoring of the environment of care, and equipment. Supervising junior colleagues, unregistered staff and students.

Previous theatre experience would be an advantage, however a comprehensive training package is in place for newly qualified staff, or those new to the theatre environment.

The successful candidate should be motivated and enthusiastic and committed to delivering safe, high quality care.

This post requires out of hours work on a rotational basis
