An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead the clinical risk, governance and assurance teams. The post holder will be responsible for driving the embedding of the Trust Strategies for governance and assurance. This will ensure that quality of care is seen as the responsibility of all staff within the organisation on our journey to be an outstanding provider of health care. In taking this role forward the post holder will:

Support and further develop a culture which empowers people to continuously improve care;

Build on the current structure to continuously improve quality of care across the organisation.

Align the Trust quality governance systems with those of corporate governance to ensure consistency and optimal effectiveness;

Main duties of the job

As part of the Senior Management Team; the role will include strong and visible leadership to the Trust across the whole quality, risk and patient safety agenda; including the provision of expert clinical knowledge in an acute hospital setting and taking part in the Trust Wide On Call rota.

The post holder will also lead on the Trust's approach to quality governance, to ensure its governance arrangements are robust and meet the requirements set by NHS England and the Regulations inspected by the CQC and take an active lead role in the "Moving to Outstanding " work streams.
