We have an exciting opportunity for a print assistant to join our busy team at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The successful applicant will work closely with the design and print manager and the design team to learn and develop this dynamic new role.
The work is varied and the role requires knowledge of both PC and Mac platforms to achieve all aspects of print production, from print buying and client liaison to amending artwork and checking proofs. The ability to follow brand guidelines and work on multiple projects to meet tight deadlines is essential.
Applicants should be motivated, conscientious and able to work alone, as well as being a committed team player within a department of twelve people. You will need to be flexible and friendly and be prepared to be hard-working, within a sociable department.

The interview for this post will include a practical test.
Main duties of the job
A good working knowledge of print production is essential as you will assist the print manager and the graphic design team in establishing customer's requirements, consulting with external printers and any other stakeholders in the timely supply of printed material.
Applicants must be versatile and be able to shift priorities according to demand.
The successful applicant will be expected to use both Macintosh and PC platforms and be competent in creating, refreshing, and reviewing existing artwork using a range of professional software (including lnDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel), in accordance with local and national NHS corporate brand guidelines.
The role requires a team player who works well with others and can communicate complex or complicated information effectively with internal clients and vendors to achieve department objectives.
The job holder will be skilled in creating print specifications, negotiating costs, and using job management software to process jobs smoothly and cost effectively.
