Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (BTHFT) invested in the development of a Command Centre, designed to radically improve the management of information within the Trust and to facilitate real time management of patient flow.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Command Centre team in the role of substantive fill time clinical site matron.

The Command Centre at BTHFT is responsible for the operational management of patient flow within the Trust with the team being led by Clinical Site Matrons who take 24-hour responsibility for patient flow, out of hours providing on-site Senior Clinical Leadership and operational support to the Trust.

The Clinical Site Matrons, as part of the Command Centre team, are responsible for driving forward transformation and excellence in patient flow to ensure the best possible experience for both patients and for staff.

You must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to develop and manage relationships with staff at all levels. You must also be able to work under pressure and have the ability to work flexibly over a 24-hour period.

Main duties of the job

If you are a Registered Nurse with evidence of working towards a Masters level qualification or are able to demonstrate equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years post registration experience; if you demonstrate and role model values-based transformational leadership; if you have current operational experience of managing both patient flow and managing teams of staff; if you have a proven track record of delivering successful service improvements and if you have a portfolio of evidence demonstrating significant achievements in senior clinical nursing roles within the Acute Hospital setting, then you are encouraged to apply for this exciting opportunity to experience working in operational site management and patient flow at a senior level. .
