The job holder will work as part of the existing Catering services team and provide a professional customer focused quality service within available resources.

To clean specific areas of a working kitchen using specialist cleaning equipment and ensuring that the cleaning is undertaken to the required standard of hygiene in accordance with food hygiene regulations and internal standard operating procedures. This includes Catering equipment, floors, walls and bins

Lifting and manipulation of cleaning equipment.

Main duties of the job

To clean specific areas of a working kitchen using specialist cleaning equipment and ensuring that the cleaning is undertaken to the required standard of hygiene in accordance with food hygiene regulations and internal standard operating procedures. This includes Catering equipment, floors, walls and bins

Lifting and manipulation of cleaning equipment.

. To comply with current food hygiene regulations and on a daily basis clean the kitchen areas, including catering equipment and maintain a high standard of hygiene in accordance with appropriate departmental cleaning schedules.

Assist in the delivery of insulated food boxes to the wards at BRI

To dispose of waste in accordance with the waste disposal policy

To demonstrate knowledge of relevant policies, Standing Operating Procedures, systems and regulations (eg COSHH) gained through induction and on the job training.

Ensure confidentiality of information is preserved at all times

Such other duties at a comparable level of responsibility, as may normally be agreed with the job holder
