EPR TACC Clinical Analyst

Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

Job summary

Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trusts and Calderdale & Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust implemented the Cerner Millennium Electronic Patient Record (EPR) in 2017 and revolutionised the way in which both hospitals work by improving quality & patient safety.

In September 2024 Airedale General Hospital will be the third Trust to join this shared EPR domain and in addition we will add the Theatres, Anaesthesia and Critical Care (TACC) module onto the current functionality. TACC will be used by AGHFT and BTHFT to schedule and manage patients in theatres and critical care areas.

In order to continue with this vital work, there is now an exciting opportunity to join the Joint EPR team and to deliver solutions across the three organisations in their use of EPR. We are looking to recruit a Clinical Analyst to support the increased workload the new TACC module will bring. You will need to have excellent communication skills and the ability to work with teams to understand their requirements.

Main duties of the job

The EPR Analysts provide a key role in EPR system design, configuration and maintenance and ensure the system is aligned to current patient safety standards. They are responsible for analysis of workflows in EPR, and support and build any process redesign that uses the EPR.

The EPR analysts will respond to user requests escalated from the helpdesks and develop and bring change requests to the Joint Change Board.

They will work with their respective Workstream Lead on projects to develop the system and engage with subject matter experts, clinicians and users in the Trusts. From time to time they will work with Oracle Health (the system supplier) to implement new content. EPR Analysts will also create SOPs and training materials and are expected to demonstrate changes to others. The role will be varied and evolving as the system is optimised for users.
