Applications are invited for Consultant Anaesthetists, we have 2 substantive positions available.
The Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides acute services for the City of Bradford and the surrounding areas. There are two large general hospitals: Bradford Royal Infirmary and St Luke's Hospital; the Maternity Services are centralised at the maternity unit on the Bradford Royal Infirmary site which includes our neonatal unit. The main theatres and emergency admissions are located at Bradford Royal Infirmary while St Luke's Hospital provides a large outpatient facility and wards for therapy and rehabilitation.
The department is relaxed, friendly and values work - life balance. There are 46 Consultants, 4 SAAS Anaesthetists and 32 trainees. We actively encourage personal and professional development. Informal enquiries or visits are welcomed.

Main duties of the job
This post comprises 10 programmed activities. The post holder will be expected to work flexibly to meet service delivery requirements within a busy department and have a wide range of anaesthetic and critical care skills and experience.
About us
The Anaesthetic Department provides comprehensive services normally expected of a district hospital. These include vascular, upper GI, colorectal, breast surgery, trauma and orthopaedics, obstetrics and gynaecology, ENT and oro-maxillofacial surgery, ophthalmology and plastic surgery, supported by a 16-bed critical care unit.
