Job summary

We are excited to advertise this dynamic post to support the Clinical Service Unit structure. Working closely with the Clinical Director, General Manager and Deputy Director of Nursing for the CSU the successful candidate will be responsible for providing strong, visible leadership and support to urology surgery and services. You will ensure that the fundamentals of care are correctly and actively in place, and that high standards of holistic care are achieved. You will be responsible for the management of risk, patient safety, patient experience and maintaining high levels of quality. You must be able to demonstrate excellent organizational skills, an understanding of change management processes and the ability to inspire, lead and develop a team.

We are looking for a dynamic and proactive person with urology experience that can support the CSU to take its services to outstanding.

You will be able to evidence how you have positively influenced nursing and patient care and have experience of change management. The ideal candidate must have a proven track record of progressive leadership and development, be an effective role model, self-motivated with the passion, drive and adaptability to cope with continuously changing services.

Main duties of the job

You will provide professional leadership and ensure that at all times the needs of the patients are placed at the Centre of care delivery. In conjunction with the senior nursing team ensure that staff will feel supported and thrive within the clinical areas, providing evidenced based quality care to every patient.

With the support of the Deputy Director of Nursing , the Matron will take responsibility for action planning and implementing change within the clinical area, working with Ward and Service Managers to ensure that the CSU and Trust objectives and targets are met.
