Job summary
This is a strategic, specialist role requiring expertise in Database Design and Management relating to the Trust's Data Warehouse environment.
The role will provide technical authority, leadership, training support and management of the development of new and current information databases and information processing systems within the Trusts Datawarehouse.
The Senior Database developer will work collaboratively with Informatics teams to develop the road map and strategy for the Trusts data warehouse, aligned to business need and operational requirements.
The post holder will provide a lead role in the Data Warehouse team driving a culture of continuous improvement in order to ensure that the Trust has secure, robust and efficient data for all reporting and analytical purposes.
Main duties of the job
To lead the provision of technical solutions for continuous improvement of the Trusts Data Warehouse as the 'single source of truth' for all internal / external reporting and analytical requirements
Deputise for the Data Warehouse Manager as required and in co-ordination, with other Senior BI Managers

- Significant experience in a database developer/development role in a multi-professional organisation
- Evidence of having developed complex database systems
- Knowledge and understanding of modern data analytics platforms
- Experience of presenting complex information so that it is understandable to users

- Awareness of NHS issues and initiatives
- Previous experience of managing staff

- Ability to analyse and interpret very large and complex datasets
