Job summary

Provide specialist support to children and their families with rheumatic and musculoskeletal conditions. This will include assessment, implementation and evaluation of their individualised management plan to ensure their long term condition has minimal impact on their childhood. Through their clinical expertise in rheumatology work across children's services to ensure integrated care standards are experienced throughout the child's care experience.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will deliver and manage the care of children with rheumatic and musculoskeletal conditions within the Children's Services for Bradford Teaching Hospitals Trust.

Evidence based practice incorporating National and Regional Standards will underpin the assessment, planning and implementation of care.

Care delivery will take place throughout the care pathway for rheumatology and in a variety of different settings to ensure care is both coordinated and integrated

To work closely and support the Senior Clinical Nurse Specialist for Rheumatology and multidisciplinary team in managing a defined clinical caseload and ensuring care and transitions are co-ordinated.

  • Significant post-registration experience
  • Experience of working in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Experience of assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care for patients/service-users/staff demonstrating knowledge of specific needs

Desirable

  • Experience of working with children and families with rheumatic and musculoskeletal conditions.
  • Experience in research and up to date GCP
  • Experience of working in an MDT and across organisational and professional boundaries

  • Report writing / Presentation skills
  • Computer literate - ability to use Word/Excel/PowerPoint, etc.
