Brief Description of Role:

This is an exciting new post for an individual with previous administrative experience to work on a range of clinical research trials in different specialties across the Trust. We have three vacancies which will initially be for the following areas:

-Cardiology and Diabetes

-Maternity

-Infection, Critical Care and Vascular

SKILL/QUALIFICATION REQUIRED:

The post holder must be educated to GCSE level and NVQ level 3 in Business Administration or Health Care (or equivalent experience).

You must have an ability to work on own initiative and have the ability to work with a number of different teams managing your time effectively. You will be proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel etc.).

Main duties of the job

Working with clinical research teams based around the Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust you will be responsible for providing administrative and patient facing support ensuring accurate data collection and documentation throughout the patient's participation in the trial. The conduct and delivery of high quality clinically based research helps improve the treatment of patients in Bradford.

You will work with the Research Matron and Lead Nurse for Clinical Research and multidisciplinary teams across the Trust to help provide support for clinical trial participants ensuring a high quality research service. The post holder will be expected to interact with patients and their families in relation to the requirements of the clinical trials and be able to work without supervision at times.
