Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to work collaboratively as part of the Quality Team. The Quality Team plays a key role in supporting the Trust in its ambition to be an outstanding provider of healthcare and is at the forefront of learning, improvement and assurance.
The successful candidate must possess sound secretarial skills, including meeting facilitation, agenda setting and minute taking. They must be self-motivated, pro-active and able to work on their own initiative. They must be able to organise their own workload, have the ability to pay attention to detail and be committed to producing high quality work at all times. They should be a good communicator at all levels and have excellent working knowledge of Microsoft packages, including Word, Excel and Outlook. The post-holder will have a willingness to learn and will be adaptable to change.
Main duties of the job
The job holder will work as part of a team to provide an efficient and effective secretarial and administrative service to the Quality Team under the direction of the identified line manager.
Responsible for the provision of a range of secretarial and administrative duties related to the core functions of the Quality Team, including diary management, facilitation of meetings, audio transcription and word processing of letters, production of reports and other correspondence.
The post holder will be expected to manage their own workload on a day to day basis within agreed objectives. They will need to have an ability to determine priorities, deal with conflicting tasks and achieve deadlines. They will be able to identify future tasks and work needs. They will be able to work unsupervised, whilst providing a friendly and approachable service for all users, internally and externally. They will maintain confidentiality at all times.

- Holds qualifications equivalent to NVQ Level 3 in Business and Administration, or is able to demonstrate administrative working experience of an equivalent level.
- Educated to GCSE level - Grade C minimum in English and Mathematics.
- An appropriate speed and accuracy of typing is required for this role and this will be assessed at interview, or experience using IT equipment which would equate to this level.
