Job summary
Our department is seeking an optometrist with experience and a special interest in paediatrics to join our team here at Bradford Teaching Hospitals Trust.
The successful candidate will work closely with orthoptic colleagues and the paediatric ophthalmology service by carrying out paediatric cycloplegic and subjective refractions and fundoscopy.
The successful candidate will be part of our growing team of specialist optometrists who support ophthalmology via a wide range of specialist optometry roles. Paediatric refractions are an essential part of this current post, however, as a Specialist optometrist, other specialised services may become available, depending on the needs of the service.
Main duties of the job
Participation in the delivery of highly complex specialist optometric services and a comprehensive range of core optometric services that meet the changing needs of the Directorate and other outside agencies.
To work closely with the line manager to ensure that optometric services of the highest standard are delivered.
