Bradford Teaching Hospitals and Calderdale & Huddersfield Hospitals have a shared instance of Cerner Millennium Electronic Patient Record. Airedale Hospital are about to join the shared instance.
Our Joint EPR team is looking for a Cerner-experienced Information Architect to lead a technical team in maintaining the shared Electronic Patient Record for both Trusts.
Main duties of the job
To support the EPR team by provision of installation, data management and development activities for EPR related products in a wide variety of clinical and non-clinical environments and for a large number of users and a wide range of existing and future applications, e.g. Pathology, Radiology, Clinical Docs. To act as an expert; specifying data requirements for legacy system integration, ensuring incoming data messages are fit for purpose and working with third party system integrators in 'test' and 'live' environments.
To provide a strategic and leadership based technical role within the Electronic Patient Records (EPR) team in the delivery of a service. This will include involvement with EPR colleagues, managers and staff in clinical and non-clinical directorates, other appropriate NHS organisations and external stakeholders to ensure that the EPR software meets the requirements of all stakeholders, including legal requirements, and is delivered on time and in accordance with the Trust's present and future requirements.

- Experience in strategic leadership in specialist technical teams across a range of software applications at a senior level.
- NHS information experience in a health/ public sector organisation
- Substantial experience in a software development role with specific experience with the range of Cerner Millennium products in an acute setting.
- Experience of managing the complete systems development life cycle, specifically in relation to Clinical systems
- High level of experience of programming in a number of computer programming languages to include some or all of: CCL; M-page development; ASP.NET; .net framework; C#; XML; SQL server; InterSystems Cache; JavaScript; Oracle; HTML; Java

- Experience of relational database design as well as schema and query optimisation
