Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Portering team at Bradford Teaching Hospitals. As a Porter, you will have excellent communication skills, be a team player and put our patients at the heart of everything you do. The job involves working 37.5 hours per week to meet the needs of the 24/7 service, you may be required to work any shifts Monday - Sunday.
Main duties of the job
- Transportation of patients on beds, trolleys, and chairs to and from wards and departments
- Transportation of furniture, notes, pharmacy and other items on request
- Transportation of deceased patients from wards and departments to the BRI mortuary
- Collection and delivery of mail.
- Other such other duties at a comparable level of responsibility.
