Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join the Chief Nurse Team to lead on Patient Experience and Complaints across the Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting role, working with the Assistant Chief Nurse for Patient Experience and Patient and Public involvement to lead develop and enhance quality in patient centred care. We are absolutely committed to ensuring our patients have the best possible experience within our hospitals and as the lead for patient experience, you will have the opportunity to develop the profile.

Main duties of the job

You will provide corporate leadership and support for an agreed portfolio of patient experience and quality improvements and initiatives. If you have a focus on improving quality, efficiency and productivity and a passion for delivering projects in relation to patient experience and patient and public involvement and would like to work for Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust we would look forward to hearing from you.

  • Substantial management/leadership experience at a senior level working within Acute Hospital setting
  • Extensive knowledge of the NHS Complaints procedure
  • Able to demonstrate an understanding of relevant policy and its impact on the service provision at BTHFT
  • Experience of delivering service improvements with demonstrable positive impact on patient safety, patient experience and quality of care
  • Evidence of a track record of developing best practice, or Research Experience and audit application
  • Leading and developing a team
  • Experience of: - budget management including human resource management - quality assurance - change management - complaints handling - policy implementation - participation in Trust-wide initiatives/ committee membership
