Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the existing manual handling team in the role of Manual Handling Trainer. The successful candidate will have experience of delivering direct patient care, a passion for quality manual handling and hold an NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care . They will be responsible for the delivery of manual handling training across the Trust. This will include training staff in the classroom as well as providing training and support within the work place.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be expected to deliver and monitor planned programmes of education and training for all disciplines and grades of staff, without direct supervision and to ensure a high standard of care for all patients. They will promote effective manual handling and best practice for clinical and non-clinical staff. They will also support clinical staff in the work place with complex manual handling, be involved with audits around manual handling, equipment reviews and service development.

The successful candidate is required to be able to demonstrate the Trust values, the responsibilities of the job description and meet the person specification.
