Job summary

We are looking for a forward thinking and enthusiastic Radiographer who wants participate in the leadership of our busy and friendly team. The post holder will have great interest in moulding the team within the primary imaging, radiology department, and will also have the appetite to grow future generations of radiographers at BTHFT.

The successful candidate will play a vital role supporting the Principal Superintendent Radiographer by facilitating the organisational management within x-ray. They will spend 50% of the time working within the clinical department, demonstrating strong leadership skills across all sites of the trust, in order to develop excellent patient focused care and develop existing radiographers.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will lead clinical audit and research within the primary imaging department to facilitate the growth of Bradford Teaching Hospital Trust. The post holder will have a high clinical knowledge within the Primary Imaging Department. They will also have in depth knowledge of IR(ME)R 2017 and IR2017.

The successful candidate will support all members of the team within your direct scope of responsibility, in order to assist in the delivery of the service and achieve individual and group objectives.

The Radiology Department at Bradford provides a comprehensive imaging service to support the wide spectrum of clinical work undertaken within the Trust. Our imaging work covers multiple sites, Bradford Royal Infirmary and St Luke's and we currently have a total of 3 CT and 3 MR scanners, 3 Vascular / Interventional rooms along with numerous ultrasound rooms, general and A&E x-ray rooms with CR/DR equipment. All major clinical specialties, with the exceptions of transplant surgery, neurosurgery and cardiac surgery are represented in the Trust.
