Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Technician to join the Education Department at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. We are looking for an experienced simulation technician, who can demonstrate confidence in working with new technology and the ability to adapt to the different needs required for the delivery of educational courses.

The post holder will be responsible for the technical support within the Education Service, including Clinical Skills, Simulation, Technical Skills, and Resuscitation Services. They will have responsibility for the preparation of the training environments, managing equipment stock levels, maintaining equipment and ensuring resources are available for all training programmes.

The post holder will support the development and management of the Associate Technicians within the clinical education service and will provide a first contact point for service delivery queries and daily task allocations. They will be required to work effectively as part of a team as well as on their own initiative; be able to multi-task and quickly adapt to changing situations.

Main duties of the job

A willingness to learn new skills and take on challenges will be required. Being reliable, organised, and able to problem solve with excellent time management skills will be key attributes of the successful candidate. This position involves working closely with the Simulation Training Lead and Simulation Faculty to provide a safe, well equipped skills training environment.
