Job summary

We are looking to recruit a motivated enthusiastic Team Manager to support our Team in Surgery and Digestive diseases in Bradford.

The post holder will be responsible for the supervision and delivery of key performance indicators within the Surgery & Digestive diseases CSU. In addition the post holder will play a key role in supporting the Service Manager.

The successful candidate must be self-motivated, pro-active, be able to work on their own initiative, have a good working knowledge of office procedures ensuring efficient and effective systems of work are carried out to provide excellent service for their patients and have excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Be able to showcase the ability to work alongside and with Consultant Medical staff, Directorate Managers and other clinical staff as appropriate.

Main duties of the job

Brief Description of the Role:

The post holder will be expected to manage clerical and secretarial staff to support the delivery of the clinical services. They will be required to manage access targets such as referral to treat, and to ensure departmental systems are in place to manage patient pathways. The post holder will work alongside the Service Manager, Clinicians and other administrative services within the directorate of the trust to support with service improvements and developments.

You should have excellent communication skills and good organisation and interpersonal skills. Flexibility and aptitude to work in a fast paced department is important.

The successful applicants will have experience of data inputting using Patient Information Management systems (EPR, PAS, PPM or alternative) and have a thorough understanding of information governance. Waiting list management and knowledge of the RTT pathways is essential.
