Associate Practitioner
Band 4
Hours - 37.5 hours per week
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a new position to support the Cardiology and Respiratory services at both the BRI and St Luke's hospital sites. Ideally this would be suitable for someone who is passionate about healthcare science and the use of technology to improve patient treatment and care.
Main duties of the job
You should be competent to undertake basic cardiac diagnostic procedures such as ECG, ambulatory monitoring and Spirometry. You should hold a professional qualification such as SCST Diploma in ECG Interpretation or be ready to attain that within your first year.
Consideration will be given to those who can demonstrate a commitment to healthcare science, and as well as experience of caring for patients. You must have a good underpinning knowledge of cardiac physiology, especially the conduction system and ideally at degree level. You must also be IT literate and be able to problem solve. Excellent communication skills will be essential.
