Respiratory Physiologist

We are looking for a highly motivated Specialist Respiratory Physiologist or Clinical Scientist to join our busy department. Working with eight Cardiologists and eight Respiratory Physicians the department provides a wide range of complex cardiac and respiratory investigations including Cardiac Catheterisation, PCI, Pacemaker and AICD implant and follow up, Cardiac and Cardio-Pulmonary stress testing, Transthoracic, Trans-oesophageal and Stress Echocardiography. We are part way through the implementation of a large dedicated IT system which will pull together all the clinical and administrative systems across the department.
Main duties of the job

We are currently supporting staff to undertake MSc level qualifications as well as providing mentorship and support to those applying for registration as a Clinical Scientist. We have a dedicated training budget which allows staff to be supported to attend national and international educational events.
You should have experience of working as a qualified respiratory professional and hold HCPC, AHCS or RCCP registration.
We will also consider applications from those expected to graduate within the next 4 months with BSc Healthcare Science (Respiratory). Agenda for Change Annex 21 will apply in this circumstance.
The post holder will be expected to work as an independent practitioner performing specialist respiratory procedures on a wide range of patients, as well as sleep analysis.

- Experience of collating audit data
- Experience of mentorship and supervision of junior and trainee grades
