Clinical Scientist / Cardiac Physiologist - Imaging - Echo

We are looking for a highly motivated Highly Specialist Cardiac Specialist Cardiac Physiologist or Clinical Scientist to join our busy, department. Working with eight Cardiologists and five Respiratory Physicians the department provides a wide range of complex cardiac and respiratory investigations including Cardiac Catheterisation, PCI, Pacemaker and AICD implant and follow up, Cardiac and Metabolic stress testing, Transthoracic, Trans-oesophageal and Stress Echocardiography. We are part way through the implementation of a large dedicated IT system which will pull together all the clinical and administrative systems across the department. We are also planning new scientist led services such as valve surveillance clinics and exercise stress echo - we would be keen for the new member of staff to be involved in those projects.

Main duties of the job

If you have experience of the ETP or STP programme then that would be a significant advantage. We are currently supporting staff to undertake MSc level qualifications as well as providing mentorship and support to those applying for registration as a Clinical Scientist. We have a dedicated training budget which allows staff to be supported to attend national and international educational events.

  • One of the following to be obtained within 12 months of appointment; Assessors qualification ( SLIP) Training qualification ( PGCE or other teacher training ) Post graduate certificate in Advancing Practice (or equivalent)
