Job summary

Are you a highly motivated and innovative individual who is focused upon delivering a high standard of nursing care to children and their families? If so then the Bradford Children's Community Nursing Team is the place for you.

This exciting role will allow you to gain knowledge and experience in the community setting working in a dedicated, friendly team who strive to provide an excellent nursing service to children and their families in the Bradford and Airedale District.

Main duties of the job

We are looking to recruit Children's Nurses (RSCN/RN(child)) with recent, extensive experience in caring for children in the community and/or acute setting. You will need to possess excellent communication skills, practical clinical skills, as well as a clear and compassionate approach to children and their families. A flexible approach to care delivery and the ability to manage change in a positive and effective way is also essential in this constantly changing environment. You will be expected to work autonomously and hold your own caseload of patients and in return we will ensure that you are well supported through our extensive training and preceptorship package.

Our Children's Community Nursing service provides nursing support for children, young people and their families with complex health care needs wherever they may require it. Our Continuing Care Service also delivers packages of care to these children to support their being cared for within their own homes. This is in addition to some short term nursing interventions which we deliver in client's own homes. The main aim of our service is to care for children at home and to prevent them being admitted to hospital.
